Welcome to the new-look blog for 2011! The site has had a good spring clean – different design, new images posted to the Gallery. As for the content, well, that’ll be dictated by the events of the upcoming months…and who knows what they will turn out to be!

2011 TT regs have been published with significant gaps where the names of the top medical people should be. This follows resignation of Doc Stevens.

Season’s Greetings

Happy Christmas and a successful and safe New Year.

2010 was a really mixed bag for followers of road racing. Triumph and disaster in terms that old Kipling never really dreamed of. For me it’s all summed up by the two most memorable events of my year as a commentator – calling Ian Hutchinson home for his 5th win in 5 2010 TTs, and leading the service to celebrate the life of Paul Dobbs just a few days later. My thoughts are with Bridget and her two little girls this Christmas.

So what will 2011 bring? More of the triumph and not so much disaster is my hope.

On a personal note, I’d like to thank all friends from the IOM and the extended family of the TT and MGP for the support and friendship you’ve given me this year.

Happy Christmas.
